The Southern California Regional Rocks and Roads Page has a great deal of information to offer for those interested in Southern California highway history. Major highways such as former US 99 (Golden State Highway), US 6 (Grand Army of the Republic Highway), and the Ridge Route are covered in great detail with online tours. Additional information can also be found about the rest of the current State Highway system throughout the region with photographs, both historic and current, as well as maps of the area. Other aspects of transportation history, such as the Pacific Electric Railway and the San Diego Electric Railway, can also be found on the site. The website has been on the Internet since late 1995 and will continue to be a resource for transportation history in the region.
