Museum of the Month: National Air and Space Museum (Smithsonian)

Perhaps you are one of the over 15 000 people attending the TRB’s annual meeting being held this week in Washington D.C.

If so, why not take the time to vist either of both of the National Air and Space Museum buildings.  While the downtown site (Independance Ave  & 6th Street SW, L’enfant Plaza Metro Station) may boast a great collection and be more convenient for attendees, the sheer size of the collection at the Dulles Airport site is certanly worth the visit.  Here, you will find everyting from the Enola Gay to a Concorde a Boeing 707 and even a Space Shuttle.

The two sites combined for the world’s lagest collection of historical Aircrafts and Spacecrafts.
