Tour the Grand Central of the Jet Age


Recently, Wired magazine profiled the TWA Flight Center at JFK Airport, which opened in 1962 and was called the “Grand Central of the jet age” by architect Robert A.M. Stern.  The facility is currently being used by jetBlue, which is planning to convert it into a hotel.  Photographer Max Touhey provides a look at what remains of this landmark transportation structure, which has been largely closed to the public since the turn of the century.
